The Series Starts and Wins: The TV Show Between Amusement and Drama

Annotation:
This article focuses on the connection between the development of modern-day technologies and the delivery of video content, in addition to the change in the mode of consumption of this content by the audience. The analysis based on a comparison of the role of television series in today’s culture with feature films. The author presumes that television series have acquired a number of key functions in modern-day culture, above all, the apprehension of and reflection on activities from large screen pictures. More gifted and socially oriented playwrights have been focused specifically on television series. Thus, television series should be seen as another way of codifying humanity’s current knowledge of the contemporary world.
